Arts & Crafts oak framed fire screen c1900, with a copper panel depicting a galleon under sail on the sea. The oak frame has a shaped top with two spade shaped cut-outs and three ceramic ruskin style cabochons which are a blue/green colour. The repousse copper panel has good detail of the galleon with a lovely colour and patination.
In good condition, no damage or repairs. No cracks to the cabochons just slight crazing.
82cmH x 66cmW x 15cmD Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
