Antique Hallmarked AustrianSilver Niello And Horn Table Snuff / cigar box. A rare and beautiful fully hallmarked Vienna assayed niello, 900 silver and horn table snuff / cigarette / cigar box in excellent condition. A young deer in niello makes this a rare and special 'find'. The 900 silver lid is fully hallmarked '900, maker's mark, 2 hoopoe bird W. This well made table accessory is fitted with antler horn on all sides. There are fine table snuff boxes adorned with horn and also niello snuff boxes but to find silver, niello and horn in one accessory is not easy. Needless to say we are delighted to have this antique box in our collection. All clasps and hinges work perfectly. The whole piece is in excellent condition. The internal dimensions are 8.2 cm X 10.1 cm. This 900 silver, niello and horn table snuff / cigarette box measures 14 cm X 11 cm & weighs 325.8 grams.
