Antique silver cigarette / business card case silver wedding 25th anniversary gifts GROOM'S / BRIDE'S 1930s

A sublime fully hallmarked French sterling silver cigarette / business card case made c.1930. The lid & base have the most extravagant Art Deco embossed scroll work, garlands of flowers, baskets of flowers, fruit & an ornate cartouche in the shape of scroll. The case is in superb condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The interior is gilded & none of the gilding is worn. The elastic straps are in place & they are in need of tightening which is literally inserting a couple of stitches into the elastic. The case is even more attractive in person. It is deep & curvy too.

This outstanding solid silver cigarette /business card case measures 9.5 cm X 8 cm &
weighs 110 grams.
