Antique Indian Bidri Vase Silver Inlay silver inlaid metalwork %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
This is a very charming piece of Indian Bidriware which dates from the 19th century. Bidriware originates from Bidar in India from as long ago as the 14th Century and is prized as a symbol of wealth due to its striking inlay artwork.
The vase is quite heavy as Bidriware is made of zinc and copper alloy which is then inlaid with silver. This is a lovely antique example with a branching floral design to it. The vase has a subtle patina and is not overly polished. Obviously if it was polished more the silver would shine more.
It is in excellent condition and measures 19 cms high and 9 cms deep.
UK delivery is £10.
