A very smart antique English photo frame made from English sterling silver, perfect for a lady or gentleman and perfect for a variety of interiors, from traditional to modern.

The silver has two parts, the decorated outer frame and an inner silver "matte". The border is elegantly decorated with an engine turned detail and a decorated square in each corner.

The backing is a very popular "two-way" easel stand, allowing the frame to be used in either a portrait or landscape configuration. The backing made from solid English Oak.

The silver is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1913 together with the makers initials for Mappin and Webb. It is also signed Mappin and Webb on the other side.

Excellent condition, measuring 7 1/8" x 5" with a glazed aperture measuring 5 1/2" x 3 1/2".
