This is an antique country house boot jack. An English, oak folding equestrian riding or hiking shoe pull, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Of useful purpose for riders or ramblers - easily folds for stowage
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Turned and carved oak shows fine grain interest
Light oak shows appealing biscuit hues
Turned steadying handles sit atop the frame
Articulated boot rest folds outwards, to achieve a free standing form
Generous shoe recess of 26cm x 11.5cm (10.25" x 4.5")
Rest dressed with a slip of aged black rubber for heel grip
