his is an antique helmet fire basket. An English, copper coal scuttle or fireside bin, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

Delightful helmet shaped scuttle
Displays a desirable aged patina with fine weathering
Copper bucket shows rich colour and hand-beaten charm
Rolled handle clasped by shaped brackets with rivet bonding

Further bonding to body and upper hood
Shaped handle to rear with rounded pull over a shaped back plate
Raised on a tapered circular base with beaded finish
