A matched pair of 20thC silver capped whisky tots %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A very well matched pair of almost identical whisky noggins or tots, made of signed crystal glass with hallmarked sterling silver hinged lids. Although they both look the same, and are both etched for Ian Macleod, Whisky Blenders, and have almost identical silver caps, these are hallmarked one year apart and for different silversmiths.
Each of the glass decanters is signed on the base AJ with a Bee motif, so they are made by the same person. The silver differs though: one cap/lid is hallmarked to Hamilton & Inches of Princess St Edinburgh, and dated to 2000, the other is by Annabel Jones, assayed in London and dated 1999.

It is very nice to find such a well matched pair, and a whisky lover would be very happy to find these lovely little noggins adding a touch of Scottish heritage to their Christmas presents.

The width of 8cms includes the handle, but the height of 10cms excludes the 12mm of the thumb lever on the lid.
