George I Silver Brandy Warming Saucepan 1723

Charming George I silver brandy pan of round bellied form with side spout, and a turned wooded handle with heart shaped terminal.
Hallmarked for London 1723, maker James Smith I.
It measures 16.5cm (6 1/2”) bowl to handle, 7.5cm (3”) wide across the bowl, 9cm (3 1/2”) high to the handle and 5.5cm (2 1/8”) high to the bowl. It weighs 92g/2.9ozt.
In good condition: there has been a small repair to the handle terminal where it joins the body and also to the spout at the join. The base edge is a bit distorted and there is a small ding and minor handling wear. No holes or splits. It has an engraved monogram on the side. The hallmarks are nice are clear and the handle is firm. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
