4 Superb quality Indian silver serving spoons.
Indian Silver Spoons.
An exceptional set of four Indian silver serving spoons. They are beautifully designed with each having a different Hindu Deity figure at the terminals and a differently designed handles. The quality continues with gilded bowls.
Although they are not hallmarked they are made of sterling silver and were probably made for the British Raj or for people on the Grand Tour of India and the Middle East. The owner believes they came from Simla where relatives lived. Their quality is reminiscent of the work of Paul Orr and Sons, silversmiths based in Madras.
They are in very good with only minor marks through use. As shown in the photographs the original case has seen better days, and this will be sent with them for protection.
They measure 9.5 inches or 24.5 centimeters long and the total weight is 540 grams.
UK Special Delivery service costs £10.00.
