Rare crucifix in gilded bronze and enamel with large cabochons applied on black Belgian marble and semi-precious stones in neo-Gothic style. Work signed at the bottom Barbedienne, attributable to the famous French founder Ferdinand Barbedienne (1810-1892), missing authentication. Founded in 1834, Maison Barbedienne, the most famous company of art bronzes in France, had an immense international influence for a century. Its works won numerous awards such as the great medal of honor at the world exhibition of 1855. It shows some signs of aging and the marble cross has a hairline in the center (see photo). Still equipped with its original box, the object is in good condition. As each of our products will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and warranty and photographic documentation.
