Portmeirion

Portmeirion Pottery was founded in 1960 by pottery designer Susan Williams-Ellis (daughter of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, who created the Italian-style Portmeirion Village in North Wales) and her husband, Euan Cooper-Willis. They took over a small pottery-decorating company in Stoke-on-Trent called A.E and a year later another company called Kirkhams Ltd. This enabled Portmeirion Potteries to manufacture their own products. In recent years Portmeirion Pottery have expanded and purchased both the Spode and Royal Worcester brand.
