Christofle of Paris - Silver maker
Founded in 1830 by Charles Christofle a jeweller. They are manufacturers of picture frames, crystal vases and glassware, porcelain dinnerware and silver jewellery and holloware. In 1842 Christofle negotiated a licence giving him the French rights to the electroplating patents of George and Richard Elkington of Birmingham, England along with the patents of the French chemist Count Henri de Ruolz. This set Christofle on its legendary course as a manufacturing silversmith. Today Christofle is still in the family's hands.
They manufacture their wares in France and Brazil and sell worldwide.
