Bagley Glass
Bagley Glass 1871-1975. Also Bagley Glass and Co.
Bagley's glass began as a bottle making factory in Yorkshire England. It's heyday was between the two world wars 1918-1939.
It went on to make a wide range of inexpensive domestic glassware including coloured glass and later to making lead crystal.
Their production of true lead crystal however didn't last long, probably due to costs. They went on to make pressed crystal which became very popular. Bagleys received a boost to their business in 1924 while exhibiting at Wembley in London, they received an order from Queen Mary for several pieces of pattern 1122. This eventually became known as "Queens Choice". Bagleys carried on successfully util 1975 and was then taken over by Jacksons who eventually became the Rockware group.
