Traditional Chinese Miao tribal headdress. Handmade with embroidered centre and metal decorations (probably low grade Chinese silver). Above the headdress there are 6 phoenix with long tail feathers, holding fish and surrounded by flowers. The band around the headdress is decorated with huntsmen and horses.
The Miao people believe silver symbolises light and good health and so wear it to ward of evil spirits and bring good fortune.
A piece of exquisite jewellery art.
