Continental silver powder compact

This compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.

This is a very beautiful solid silver compact. The lid has an engine turned design of tiny diamond shapes, as does the base. As you can see the lid is also engraved with the most beautiful flowers & foliage. The compact is hallmarked 'F.S' & marked '835' silver. The mirror is excellent & gives a perfect reflection. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. Such a good quality compact & it does not look like it has ever been used. The original sifter is in place. This compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder. The whole compact is in excellent condition.
Measures almost 3 1/4 " & it weighs 77.8 grams.
