A gorgeous fully hallmarked sterling silver Kigu "Mayfair" 617- ET X S powder compact.
It was assayed in London in 1966. The compact is in excellent condition & working order. The mirror gives a good reflection. All clasps & hinges work perfectly.The mirror bezel is signed "KIGU MADE IN ENGLAND." The inner annular ring is marked "PAT PEN." Kigu sifter included too. The compact has a lift out ring which means as well as the standard 67 mm pans of powder (Max Factor 'Creme Puff') also 57 mm diameter powder pans may also be used when the ring is installed.This sterling silver Kigu compact measures 3" & weighs 89.3 grams.
