Silver snuff box, Birmingham, 1907

Silver snuff box featuring a carved foliate design top and bottom, vacant shield cartouche and plain sides.
The snuff box is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1907, and the maker Henry Hobson & Sons.
There is a full set of marks to the interior of the box, and a partial set to the underside of the lid. The hallmarks are all crisp and clear.
Henry Hobson operated from Houndsditch, London and Carver Street Sheffield.
The snuff box is approximately 5.2 cm (2") by 3.3 cm (1.3") by 1.4 cm (.55"). It weighs 43g.
The snuff box is in very good overall condition. The interior gilding is a little worn and tarnished and there is a spilt to one corner of the lid. The lid does still close firmly and securely.
