Silver Book Form Stamp Holder, B'ham 1915.
D.J.MASSEY & SON
This is a Sterling Silver Stamp Holder in the form of a book, with a swivel hinge which allows the interior to swing out so that stamps could be released. Interior is still partially gilded. The word stamps was blue enamelled and some of the enamel has worn away but does not detract from the holder.
Plain back hallmarked Birmingham 1915, with makers mark for Crissford and Norris.
