Silver Art Deco Tazza Goldsmiths & Silversmiths
Here we have for sale this elegant, heavy duty and utterly beautiful Art Deco hallmarked silver taxes by the royal silversmiths, Goldsmiths Silversmiths Company Ltd.
The dish has a delicate pierced floral rim coupled with a rectangular slatted bowl. The silver slatted bowl gives a clever optical effect so different parts of the slats hit the light at different times, creating a shimmery effect, similar to the optical effect of a diamond ring. The geometric and floral elements of Art Deco design are evident in this dish creating a real period piece,

Condition report:
The dish has the usual age related wear such as light surface scratches, see photos.
There is a small dent to the pedestal section of the dish and also a knock to the inside of the dish, see photos. Please examine the photos carefully as this forms part of the condition report.
There is a small manufacturing error to the pierced rim where the pattern has been erased over by some molten silver but this error is tiny and only noticeable upon closer inspection. There are some tiny dinks to the base, which are pictured.
Otherwise the dish is in splendid condition for its over 90 year age and still stands straight and tall with no major wear or damage. A lovely piece of silver indeed!
This vintage fine silver dish would make a fantastic addition to your silver ware collection. This tazza would be a stunning Christmas or Birthday present for a loved one or just a treat for yourself, a beautiful ‘pick me up’ object to look at and admire in these troubled times.
