We are selling this wonderful quality 19th Century French bronze figure of a musician by Emile Andre Boisseau. The seated musician is stamped Societe des Bronzes de Paris and also E Boisseau. Boisseau studied under Dumont and Bonnassieux at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He regularly exhibited at the Salon de Paris, which was known then as the Salon des Artistes Français. He was awarded a silver medal in 1889, and was made an officer of the Légion d'Honneur.

Measuring 31 inches in height and with base diameter 12 1/2 inches. Lovely patina and in good original condition with a small piece missing to the top of the feather in his cap which can easily be coloured. Please see all photos as they form part of description.
