Set of three Cotswold school steel fire irons Arts Crafts Cotswold school fire irons %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Fabulous set of Cotswold school steel fire irons attributed to Bill Thornton and Charley Downer who joined the Guild of Handicraft as young blacksmith. These were made around 1910 after the school dissolved in 1908. They stayed in Camden and produced fine quality metalwork. These irons are offered in excellent condition with just very minor rust to one joint. They show a variety of different patterns and turnings. The tongs are finished with a brass rose and are very heavy. All measuring approximately 74cms. PLEASE NOTE, RED HOUSE ANTIQUES HAS NOW RETIRED.
