Rare HENIN et CIE / MARIN Silver Compact

Art Deco Marin Henin et Cie ultra vanity luxury silver wedding gifts for her
So much to say about this authentic Art Deco beauty!
I am delighted to have this in my collection and this is probably the only time I will have the good fortune to find a vanity made by Henin et Cie retailed by and signed Marin.
So evocative of this time and French vanities of this time - the bold linear engine turned design so understated and classy. There is scant information about Marin and certainly they were regarded as Cartier, Chaumet, Kirby Beard and the most exclusive of French Maisons.
This high quality vanity is fashioned from very high grade 950 silver & fully hallmarked Henin et Cie. The centurion hallmark prefixed with numeral 1 denoting 950 silver. Such a thrill to have a case signed Marin in the collection. The lid is signed 'MARIN PARIS'. Such an excellent design - when the compact is closed the part of the lid signed 'MARIN PARIS' forms a thumb catch which means this signature is visible whether open or closed. The lid opens to reveal the satinized hallmarked powder well and an excellent bevelled mirror framed by a bezel. The lid base and sides all match. There is perfectly continuity of design and no dings.
This luxury vanity comes with an immaculate velvet drawstring pouch, historical fact sheets and a luxurious gift box and tag which will leave no doubt in the mind of the purchaser as to the exclusivity of these two names.
Image four shows another photograph of the lid.
The fifth image shows the address 29 rue du Faubourg St Honoré which was the address for Marin. Then as now this street ranked as one of the most exclusive in the world for luxury shopping.
Measures 7 x 7 cm. Weighs 120.9 grams.
