Fabulous Pierre Louis Détrier bronze figure of shepherdess with lambs in excellent condition with amazing patination. The shepherdess has wonderful features and her outfit is beautifully detailed. This stunning bronze sits on a bronze base which has the artists signature and a bronze plaque with the name of the piece.
Pierre Louis Détrier (French, 1822-1897)
Born in Vougécourt, France on July 25th of 1822, Pierre-Louis Détrier was a student of Paul Raymond Gayrard and he made his debut at Salon in 1866. He was recognized for his work in bronze, clay, and marble.
