Pair Georgian Silver Serving Table Spoons 1780
Nice pair of 18th century silver serving spoons. Bright cut engraved oval cartouche to the handles with a husk garland hanging from a daisy flower and in the centre is a rampant lion as the family crest. Hallmarked for London 1780, maker George Smith III. The marks are obscured on one and it has a double maker's mark.
They measure 21.3cm (8 3/8") long and 4.2cm (1 5/8") wide across the bowls. The bowls are 7.5cm (2 7/8") long. Total weight is 141g / 4.5ozt.
Condition is excellent with no damage or repairs and only minor handling wear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
