Pair Georgian Silver Salts Alice & George Burrows
Nice pair of George III silver table salts by Alice & George Burrows. Boat shaped with 4 ball feet and flared gadrooned rims, both are gilded inside. They have a small engraved crest featuring an owl standing beside a tree, and the initial F on the other side. Hallmarked for London 1809.
They measure 3 3 /8" long, 2 3/4" wide and 1 5/8" high. They weigh 157g/5.0ozt in total. Condition is very good: there are 2 very small dints, to one side of each and some surface wear to the gilding, more to one than the other. External surface wear is very light. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
