This is an antique Brass Fire Fender of exceptional quality and design.

It is classical in style and features pierced and engraved details - a central panel with an Urn and floral swag design, and side panels of mythical sea serpents. These are repeated on the returns.

The fender has a fine swept profile top edge, and is well defined by columns surmounted with bold cast finials
