Large Georgian Mahogany Fire Surround
A magnificent Georgian fire surround in mahogany. In excellent condition displaying the swags,garlands and ribbons as well as the architectural forms typical of the period.
This piece is displayed as unrestored and is for sale in this condition. It requires very little work to bring it to perfection. It was originally in a house in Colville Square which was built as part of the Portobello and St.Quintin estate in the 1860s If this item is not entirely suitable, please do not hesitate to contact us as we have a large store of un-restored items which can be started on if necessary.
All our mirror frames are fully restored using gold leaf and traditional materials.
We have over 30 years experience of gilding and restoration and we are very happy to undertake restoration work of any item, antique picture frame or antique mirror frame of yours that may need repair, re-gilding or indeed, simply cleaning.
