Hermes, Paris Sterling Silver Letter Opener - Dog
A rarely found designer letter opener designed by the iconic contemporary artisans since 1837.
This example is made from solid French silver with the 1st Grade Minerva mark (950/1000). The underside is also marked by the master silversmith, Ravinet D'enfert, who made the majority of silver works of art for Hermes. It is also marked "Hermes Paris".
It was possibly designed by Xavier de Poret who designed an Hermes silk scarf featuring dachshunds in 1956.
A opportunity to acquire a special and quite charming desk accessory in excellent condition measuring 9 3/8" x 1 1/2" x 1/8". Weighing 3.06 Troy Ounces / 95.1 Grams.
