Good Pair of English Silver Ladles, Garrard & Co
A very good quality, Pair of English Sterling Silver Ladles made in London by Garrard & Co.
The famous firm, Garrard & Co was established in London in 1735 and hold the Royal Warrant as suppliers to the British Royal Family, their relationship with the Royal Family stretching back to 1843 when Garrard was appointed the first official crown jeweller.
These ladles are superb quality, made from very heavy gauge silver, the total weight is a massive 147.2g.
They are hallmarked with the maker's mark "G&CoLD" for Garrard & Company (Regent Street, London), the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Leopard's Head London town mark and date letters "s" and "t" for 1974.
The ladles are in excellent condition with surface scratches consistent with minimal normal use.
They measure approximately 6 1/4" inches (160mm) in length. The total weight approximately 147.2g/5.19oz/4.73ozt.
A lovely pair of English sterling silver ladles with an excellent pedigree.
