Exterior
The exterior of the case is in overall very good condition and has deep tarnish spots and surface scratches consistent with age. The case snaps shut firmly and still has its elastic strap so cards, cash and small cigarettes can be stored securely.

Interior
The gilt interior is in excellent order. The gilt has not worn down at all, this crisp condition is rarely seen in a case of this age. There is some wear to the interior sides, see photos, a beautiful example indeed. The case was clearly looked after very well by its owner.
