French 19th Century Bayonet Fire Irons
A fine decorative useful trio of French 19th century fire tools made from french military bayonets in fine ready to use condition in forged steel mahogany and brass the bayonets were originally for use with the gras 11mm rifle .The main factories used were in St Etienne -Chatellault and Steyr in Austria and these are all represented in this set being signed and dated individually on the top of the blade with serial no/s and foundry stamps on the hilts ranging 1877-1879 .
