Fine Edwardian Solid Silver Cake Knife / Slice
A very good quality antique sterling silver cake slice, perfect for special occasions such as a wedding or anniversary. Ornate lobed handle with scrolls and leaves and a small engraved monogram leading to the polished blade with pretty engraved decoration on both sides. Fully hallmarked for Sheffield 1903 (the blade 1902), makers Henry Wigfull (Lee & Wigfull). The other half of the handle has partial marks and there is a further registered deign number stamped around both sides of the handle Rn225792.
It measures 19cm (11 3/8") long, 3.6cm (1 7/16") across the blade and 1.6cm (5/8") deep. It also weighs a substantial 171g / 5.5ozt.
Condition is excellent with no damage, dents, or repairs. Very light handling wear perfect and ready to add a touch of decadence to any occasion. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
