Edwardian Silver Mounted Playing Card Box
This fabulous crocodile leather bridge box is mounted with silver corners and silver lettering. It is dated Birmingham 1903 and bears the marks of Charles Penny Brown. These type of playing card boxes, complete and in good condition, are rather scarce and this is a fabulous example.
The beautiful crocodile leather is applied with the word Bridge in silver letters. The plain silver corners separately hallmarked The steel clasp is fully functioning. Original moire silk interior. The box contains four complete sets of playing cards, a patience games booklet and pencils.

CPB for Charles Penny Brown.
Birmingham Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "d" for 1903.
Condition:
Crocodile skin in super condition, just a little fraying at the back.
Silver corners in equally good condition.
Two sets of cards untouched and sealed, the other open and complete and in nearly new condiiton.
