Coronation Procession Silver Christening Cup
A very sweet art deco small silver / Christening cup of tapering form with stepped collet foot. Unusually and stylistically engraved with a Coronation procession including the Gold State Coach being led by members of the Household Cavalry. Hallmarked for London 1934, it was probably engraved a couple of years later for the Coronation of King George VI. Maker William Bruford & Son and marked for retailer Batty of Manchester. No other engraving, personalisation etc.
It measures 7.3cm (2 7/8") high and 6.5cm (2 9/16") rim to rim, 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle. It weighs 97g / 3.1ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and light handling wear. The engraving and hallmarks are nice and clear. Christmas Posting we are posting up until Monday 23rd December!
