Coronation Procession Silver Christening Cup
A very sweet art deco small silver / Christening cup of tapering form with stepped collet foot. Unusually and stylistically engraved with a Coronation procession including the Gold State Coach being led by members of the Household Cavalry. Hallmarked for London 1934, it was probably engraved a couple of years later for the Coronation of King George VI. Maker William Bruford & Son and marked for retailer Batty of Manchester. No other engraving, personalisation etc.
It measures 7.3cm (2 7/8") high and 6.5cm (2 9/16") rim to rim, 8.5cm (3 3/8") rim to handle. It weighs 97g / 3.1ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and light handling wear. The engraving and hallmarks are nice and clear. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
