Super quality 1920s bronze mountain goat car mascot by Charles Paillet (1871-1937) for Augustine and Emil Lejeune (AEL).
The base is in the form of a rocky outcrop which is signed ‘Paillet’ to one side and impressed’R/D AEL’ to the other. Additionally, the underside is impressed ‘JD 3203’ which indicates the bronze was likely cast by the John (Jean) Dore foundry.
In very good antique condition with only minor wear commensurate with age and handling.
It measures 11.5 cm high and weighs 408 grams. Currently shipping to UK and USA.
