Cased set of six Charles Horner silver buttons 190
A lovely set of silver buttons, clearly and well-marked for CH - Charles Horner - with a Birmingham assay for 1901. In addition to the full set of hallmarks to the reverse of each button, the lion passant is also shown on the front.
A very similar button design is shown in the Tom J Lawson book 'Charles Horner of Halifax', p77, ill.3-81.
This set, are pinned in a good, slightly tired box showing the retailer as Donald Munro Ltd of Alva St in Edinburgh.
