An unusual Vide Poche ( Empty Pocket) showing two Bears Holding the bowl made from a Mother Of Pearl Shell and four M.O.P. Cabachons set in to framework of the Bronze which is impressed with Flowers. The Bears have what appears to be a Foundry Mark on their Backs but am unable to identify it. This Dish was used to 'throw' in items from your Pockets at end of Day, be it loose Change, a Wristwatch, or pieces of Jewellery.Dimensions:- 7" x 4" x 3".French. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
