Art Deco Silver Liberty & Co Tea Strainer Spoon
Very stylish art deco silver tea strainer unmistakably by Liberty & Co. Lovely deep bowl nipped in below the rim and flared handle with curved end. Concentric engraved rings run inside the bowl framing a Celtic style knot. A hatched zigzag band runs around the outside. The handle is filled with bands of cross-hatched diamonds and deep engraving to leave raised diamonds and wavy bands. Hallmarked for Liberty & Co. Birmingham 1937 and also marked with model number 3187.
It measures 4 3/8” long, 2 3/8” wide and 1 1/8” deep and weighs 51g/1.6ozt. Condition is good with some signs of age and use the 2 tabs that would rest on the cup rim have been lost. There is the slightest bruise to the base of the bowl and slight distortion to the rim. Light surface wear appropriate for age. Christmas Posting we are posting up until Monday 23rd December!
