Stylish silver sugar caster of lighthouse type with faceted straight sided walls on a circular stepped base. The upper part of the base has a decorative cast geometric band. The domed cover sits inside the base, with pagoda knop and attractive piercings styled as leaves and small dots. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1930, makers Mappin & Webb (the cover has partial marks and is dated 1929).

It measures 12.7cm (5") high and 6.7cm (2 5/8") wide and weighs 150g/4.8ozt. Condition is very good with no damage or repair. A few tiny pin-prick dints to the lower half and light surface wear, good and appropriate for age. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
