An ornate hallmarked Italian solid silver powder compact in excellent condition. The lid (image one) & base (image three) are decorated with the most beautiful scroll work which has subtle gilding. The edges are hand engraved too. The whole piece is elegant & very beautiful. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The bevelled mirror gives an excellent reflection. The mirror bezel and case are hallmarked '800'.

This charming solid silver vintage powder compact measures 6.7 cm X 6.5 cm & weighs 58.9 grams.
