Antique Rozenzweig & Taitelbaum Silver Kiddush Cup
Arthur Vandyk Antiques are delighted to offer for sale a fine quality small early 20th century George V period Birmingham hallmarked gilt sterling silver Kiddush Cup. Ideal for Shabbat and other Jewish festivals, for use in the home or would be an ideal wedding, birthday or anniversary gift.
This fine quality silver cup has an engraved palm leaf decoration on either side of a large cartouche with a period monogram. The cup is of traditional form with nice crisp hallmarks to the base, a lovely collectable example indeed.
A perfect addition to any fine silver or Judaica collection.
The details are:
Silversmith: Rozenzweig & Taitelbaum (Aaron Taitelbaum)
Assay office: Birmingham
Year of manufacture: 1914
Weight: 28 grams
Height: 10 cm
Diameter: 4 cm
Condition report:
In overall very good condition for its age, a very minor knock to the rim which is only noticeable upon very close inspection, the cup is also slightly lop sided, this a manufacturing fault and not down to any damage, there is some wear to the gilding plus age related tarnish marks and surface scratches, otherwise a superb example.
Please see the above photographs as this forms part of the condition report.
