6 Silver Place Card Holders with posy flutes
This is a very attractive set of six place card holders in Continental silver with the 800 mark. They are in the shape of a flute made of a scrolled sheet of silver to hold a posy or flower and the base is a scallop shell. Positioned on the shell is a small ball (a pearl?) with a small slit to hold the guest’s name. Next to the 800 mark is another mark which seems to contain figures, but I am unable to decipher it. The place card holders measure 2 1/2 inches high (6.4 cms.) and the base is 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cms.) wide.
They are in very good condition and would lend elegance to any dining table - a wonderful Christmas present for the hostess with style! Postage for this item is free within the United Kingdom. Terms and conditions
I am careful to describe goods as accurately as I can, but secondhand and antique items almost always show some signs of wear and may have small flaws which have been overlooked, so please do not expect perfection when buying something old and used.
