19th Century Torture Rack
Recently recovered from a site close to The Battle of Hastings and unfortunately too late for the poor fellow strapped down. Times have certainly changed over the centuries, today the naughty step is considered beyond the pale what with the long term psychiatric damage. Things were different in medieval times, you did something wrong and you were taught a lesson, not to do it again. Confessions were commonplace as your arms became loose are the shoulders. All in a days work for the sadistic chappy turning the wheel. The only good news for anyone of a kinder disposition is that we also possess a lovely ducking stool from the same era, much less painful to be gently half drowned a few times (coming in soon). Not much more to say really, well weathered but still in working order, a must for every nutter.
