1950S SS United States Butterfly Wing Ashtray United States SS Ashtray
This is a wonderful piece of 1950's souvenir/memorabilia from the much loved SS United States - the fastest cruise liner ever built - cruising in her glory days of the 1950's with important passengers such as Harry Truman and Elizabeth Taylor, she originally cost $78million to build and was inspired by RMS Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth - This beautiful piece depicts the ship, reverse painted to a clear glass cover, set to an ornate chrome ashtray which stands on 3 ball feet - all in great vintage condition showing only the tiniest signs one would expect commensurate with its 50+ years. Measuring c. 2.7/8" inch diameter - a super piece sure to delight the most discerning of collectors
