18thC George III Silver Wine Goblet Drinking Cup
Pretty Georgian silver goblet later embossed with flowers and scrolls and an arabesque formed cartouche engraved with dedication initials and the date 1858. Nice detailing to the foot with curved hammered shapes, reeded bands and finely engraved pattern around the edge. The cup and stem have been repaired at the join. Hallmarked for London 1792 and maker's initials TH (which could be one a few different Thomases around at that time).
It measures 14cm (5 1/2") high, 8cm (3 1/8") across the foot and 7.5cm (3") across the cup. It weighs 161g/5.7oz/5.2ozt. Apart from the repair, condition is very good with light surface wear only.
