WW1 Harrods Silver Cream Jug Richard Burbidge 1915 Harrods Silver cream jug
We have for sale a very attractive and rather hard to find WW1 period Harrods silver cream jug with makers marks for Richard Woodward Burbidge.

This striking and elegant cream jug is of a 9 sided helmet form sitting on three plain cabriole legs and finished with a lovely ornate high loop handle. The cream jug carries full English hallmarks for London 1915 along with the makers marks R B in italic script for Sir Richard Woodward Burbidge, who was the Managing Director of Harrods between 1890 and 1917, during which time he led Harrods to become one of the largest department store in London.

The jug is 4 inches (10cm) high to the tip of the handle, 4 inches (10cm) long and 2.25 inches (5.7cm) wide at its rim. The jug is in an excellent condition other than a slight rubbing along the right hand side of the date mark.
