Silver & Cut Glass Claret Jug Hukin & Heath
Gorgeous cut crystal claret jug with silver mounted collar, handle and hinged lid. Showing the precursor signs of art deco with clean lines to the silver and beautifully detailed cutting to the glass. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1913 and marks for Hukin & Heath, renowned makers famous for their 19th century collaborations with Christopher Dresser and this piece clearly shows that Dresser influence.
It measures 24cm (9 1/2") high, 12.7cm (5") wide and 16.5cm (6 1/2") including the handle. Condition is very good with no damage or repair some expected light surface wear to the high points of the glass and light surface wear to the silver Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
