Pretty and practical Victorian Scottish silver pedestal bowl with a lovely goblet type shape and set on a curved stepped collet foot. Chased decoration runs around the bowl with arabesques creating a framed lower border and 2 cartouche reserves on opposing sides. Above these fine embossed and engraved decoration of roses, garden flowers and foliage, fans and circles set against a textured engraved background. One reserve is engraved with a handsome monogram the other is vacant. Hallmarked for Edinburgh 1882/1883 makers Mackay & Chisholm.

It measures 4 1/8" high and 5 1/8" wide and weighs 249g/8ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage, dents or repairs and surface wear is very light. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
