Newcastle Silver Teaspoons Dorothy Langlands 1804 Dorothy Langlands Newcastle Silver
We have for sale a set of 5 Dorothy Langlands silver teaspoons.

This set of five teaspoons are of the Old English decorated with a bright cur design with a vacant cartouche. The spoons all carry hallmarks for Newcastle along with the makers mark for Dorothy Langlands. The spoons like many examples of Georgian flatware do not carry a date letter. Dorothy Langlands was one of a small number of Georgian lady silversmiths, who took over and ran her husbands (John Langlands II) business on his death in 1804. She continued to run the business up until retirement in 1814.

The spoons are 5 & 1/8 inches (13cm) long and together weigh approximately 2.1 ounces (65g). The spoons are in a very good antique condition with nice clear hallmarks.
